Gifts for the Little Little Ones Last week I gave you some options for fun but educational gifts to help with phonological awareness.  Such entertaining but instructive presents are good for children ages four and up. But what about the little kiddo who will only be several months old on Christmas day?  Or the child who is between zero and three years of age? Have I got some toys that your tiny one will enjoy!  They bring education to freshly developing minds while delivering giggles and laughter along the way.  These are only a few of the toys out there, but when used effectively they are wonderful learning aids. Holiday Madness November already?  WHAT??? And you’re already thinking about giant chocolate chip cookies with milk for the jolly fat man in red.   Then there’s the big, towering tree🎄 that needs decorations. But more important than the decorations: what are you going to put underneath the tree? Gimme gimme gimme Sure, you can go with the standard toys that all tots get.  You can buy plush stuffed animals, big plastic cars or trucks that make those annoying sounds that kids can’t get enough of.  You can splurge on tech, like tablets which seem to make it into the hands of younger and younger kids and toddlers by the day.  There’s always the aunt or uncle who has to buy the cutest little pair of tiny Air Jordans 👟or Gap sweater and other name brand clothing. Articulation: Speech Sound Development

What is Articulation? Articulation is the production and quality of how speech sounds are produced.👄  Most children will never struggle when it comes to articulation, and will reach the milestones of normal speech development.  Some children will even reach those markers much quicker than others.👶 Markers for Vocalizing And then there are some children who take much longer to reach the same markers as the average child.  Before you throw in the towel let’s get a little understanding on what those normal milestones are.
